RhythmArty browser plugin for rhythmbox
I love rhythmbox music player because it is lightweight and it just works. It does not have many fancy features. So, to make my rhythmbox experience more entertaining I decide to write a plugin for album art browsing, called RhythmArty. It search for embedded cover art and in folder cover art. It doesn't download covers from internet.
It is not as good as other players browser but works for me. I hope it will work for you too. Give it a try.

Talika 0.50 released
I just released new version of talika. I was away from linux for two months. As I use linux not so frequently now a days, future development will be slow. So, I quickly wraps up what i have done earlier and decided to release what was there in svn tree.
It may have lot of rough edges and you may not like it at all because of its gui changes and more memory usage than previous version. There are no translation updates.
Here is release announcement:
/**************** 0.50 ********************************/

* Option to show preview on multiple windows only
* Better pininig support for openoffice & some wine apps (like picasa)
* Choose custom icon for launcher
* Many gui customization options
* And many more ( explore yourself )

Talika progress
Finaly, Got some time from my tight working schedule. Just working on making talika better and more usable.
Pinning of applications is improved, including drag and drop pinning. Also launcher and running task seprator is gone, they can be mixed. One can assign custom icons to pinned launchers and icons are now bigger (see the screenshot).
Changes are still in alpha and not ready to release. Those who want to test new features can build from svn.

Talika vs Windows 7 taskbar
Is talika a windows 7 taskbar clone?
* Oh no! The project was started before(Jan 2008) windows 7 was not available and xfce-desktop already has a iconbox applet.
But what about windows previews and pin to panel?
* They are idea's of talika fans/users. Windows previews are inspired from kde4 interactive previews (may be they are inspired from windows 7). And pin to panel from docbarx.
I had never used Windows 7 even for a single minute (I use windows in office but that is XP Pro).
Hate it if it is unusable for you, not just for you think it is a win 7 taskbar clone.

Talika - A icon only window list for gnome panel
Talika is a gnome panel applet that manages the list of opened windows with icons only. This is my second GTK+ project.
Someone will ask why you are developing this when similar apps ??X etc. exists ?
* Oh! sorry i was not able to find any such applet at that time so i started to develop my own. And thanks for advice. I think it is very useful to me. May be for you !
Two days back I released 0.48 version of Talika. It addes preview, pin to panel features to it. But of-course It didn't crash after whole day of use.
I promise next versions will include improvement of existing features and your ideas too.
